Not to be mistaken with something quite so serious as, "To be, or not to be?" - but a valid question nevertheless: "Should I use InboxDollars, or Swagbucks?" My own personal (and short) answer to this question is, "Both."
But in actual fact, the real answer to this question will be different for different people. With the experience I have with both of these sites (and apps), I will hopefully help you to answer your question based on some reasons you might want to either of them, or both.

Why Would You Use Them?
~ Reasons to Use InboxDollars or Swagbucks and Some Tips ~
Reason #1: You're looking for some ways to burn some time, and hey - why not make a bit of money while you're at it?
- If this is you, then you're in luck - I would say that both InboxDollars and Swagbucks are for you. On both of these sites, you have opportunities to spend bits of time here and there and earn some extra cents each time you do it.
- If you're looking to make a significant amount of money, I will tell you this: Don't bother with either one. You could spend all day on either of these sites and probably not manage to make an hourly wage of $5.00.
- If this is you - you're just searching out ways to make a little extra money and you have the time to do it, then go for it - use both. If you are creative (and patient) you can probably manage to make enough money to help along with small gaps in income. Surveys and "offers" seem to pay the most on either of these sites, so you probably should concentrate on those actions.
- If you were to choose one or the other, I would suggest Swagbucks for you - it has more of a variety of fun stuff to do, and they provide more creative ways to have a bit of fun and make some money at the same time. For example, they periodically send out "Swag Code Alerts" that give you a location to find a secret code that you then can enter and make a few cents here and there throughout the day. The codes are usually found on the Swagbucks Facebook page, or on some page on their site. You can watch videos, do searches, play a game called "Swago" or complete their daily "to do" list to burn some time - all of these actions are pretty fun.
- Well, on this one I would suggest either InboxDollars or Swagbucks - both sites have a "coupon" section where you can print out coupons - and this is pretty cool: you not only save the money with the coupons, but once they are redeemed by the store you will also see extra credit come into your account that gives you even more money back. Sweet!
- Swagbucks is your choice for sure - although I personally prefer using Ebates for getting cash back on shopping (way more shopping options, including in-store), when comparing Swagbucks to InboxDollars, the choice is a no-brainer. Just go to the shopping page on the Swagbucks site, click on the online store you want to shop at, and get your rebates through your account - usually within a few days.
- This is a little bit of a tougher call - both sites have similar types of surveys that they offer - but I have found that when doing them through a phone app, Swagbucks is definitely my survey site of choice.
Final Thoughts from the Author - The Bottom Line
If I were trying to choose between one or the other, I would definitely go with Swagbucks. They have more fun and creative ways to make their "Swagbucks" than Inbox Dollars has, it is quite a bit more reliable in terms of site and app stability - and in general there are more options and ways to make money, and it seems to add up faster with less of a struggle than Inbox Dollars.
But - I actually do use both, because there are some quick ways to make little bits of money on both sites that take less than a minute or two - and hey, why turn that down?
